The Powerscourt Distillery of Co. Wicklow has held an Imbolc (spring) celebration that it intends to make an annual event.
Drinks Reception And Panel Discussions
At the event, following a drinks reception, head of marketing at Powerscourt Distillery Caroline Gardiner, introduced two panel discussions chaired by broadcaster Suzanne Campbell and curated by the food and beverage specialist at the distillery Santina Kennedy.
The first panel detailed associations with Imbolc and Brigid to highlight and celebrate the occasion, and the second panel discussed the "taste of place", and was about sourcing water and food from local surroundings.
Whiskey And Food Pairing Experience
The event also included a Powerscourt Distillery whiskey and food pairing experience.
