Newly-filed accounts for John Teeling's Great Northern Distillery have revealed that operating profits increased by 36% to €7.6 million at the Dundalk distillery during the year that ended on April 30, 2019.
Meanwhile, the company's revenues rose from €13.6 million to €19.2 million during the twelve month period and its accumulated profits amounted to €15.1 million at the end of the period.
Boosted By Three Year Old Whiskey
Teeling told The Irish Independent that the rise in revenues was the result of the company launching a three year old whiskey on the market and said, "Revenue probably won't increase by that much this year, maybe by about 10%."
