The Irish Brewers Association (IBA) has elected managing director of the Porterhouse Brewing Company Peter Mosley as its new chairperson.
Commenting on his appointment, Mosley said, "Ireland’s beer industry is one of the country’s most exciting and dynamic sectors. There has been a plethora of new brewers and new beer brands entering the industry over the past few years, illustrated by the growth in craft beer and other innovations like low and non-alcohol beer options. While there are plenty of opportunities on the horizon, there are also many challenges we face, such as uncertainties surrounding Brexit. I’m looking forward to taking up this position and working with the beer industry."
"Perfectly Positioned"
Meanwhile, head of the Irish Brewers Association Jonathan McDade stated, "Peter Mosley is perfectly positioned to take on this role, bringing his experience at Porterhouse Brewing Company. Porterhouse Brewing Company is delivering creative new products to the market. In 2018, it launched its new state of the art brewery in Glasnevin, Dublin, which is serving as a hub for innovation and collaboration, and is allowing for increased experimentation. We are seeing this dynamism and creativity across the beer sector and expect this to continue in the coming years.
"I’d also like to thank our outgoing chairperson, Keith Fagan, the former country manager of Molson Coors Ireland, for his valuable contribution to the IBA."
