Pernod Ricard's UK arm has confirmed that Denis O'Flynn is to step down as managing director after 16 years at the French drinks giant.
O'Flynn joined Irish Distillers - the Irish whiskey arm of Pernod Ricard - in 2000 from Guinness Ireland, according to thespiritsbusiness.com, which added that he's held a number of management positions across operations, human resources and sales until his appointment as managing director of Pernod Ricard UK in 2011.
Laurent Pillet, currently managing director of Pernod Ricard Sub-Saharan Africa, will take over from Flynn from 1 September 2016.
"His entrepreneurial style and vast knowledge of the industry allowed the company to go through a significant and successful transformation in a complex and competitive market," said Pernod Ricard said of O’Flynn in a statment.
Paul-Robert Bouhier, managing director of Pernod Ricard Singapore-Thailand-Cambodia and emerging markets, will take over as MD of Pernod Ricard Sub-Saharan Africa, with the role changes coming into effect from 1 September.
