Brú Brewery has won four gold medals and a Country Winner award at the globally-acclaimed World Beer Awards.
The Meath-based brewery took home gold medals for its Irish Red Ale, Irish Stout and a Country Winner award for its Irish Craft IPA. Brú Lager, after already winning a gold medal last year, was awarded two gold medals in this year’s competition.
“We wanted to brew a great tasting lager that everyone could enjoy, including my Mum who is a coeliac” said Dave O’Hare from Brú. ‘’So winning two Gold Medals is testament to the Brú team ethos of doing whatever it takes to perfect our gluten-free lager; and my Mums bravery during those early test batches!’’
Brewer Daire Harlin added: “These awards really top off what has been an incredible year for us at Brú Brewery. Over the course of the last 12 months we have commissioned our new brewery, opened our first Brú House pub and expanded the Brú team. Looking ahead, we have even more exciting plans for the next 12 months.”
