Musgrave Group has agreed to acquire Wexford-based foodservice business C.J. O’Loughlin Quality Foods.
Chris Martin, Musgrave Group CEO, has today (Janaury 20) commented on the news, saying, “C.J. O’Loughlin Quality Foods is an excellent strategic fit for our business and complements our market-leading foodservice offer."
He added that, as a family-run business that has served the South East for 50 years, C.J. O’Loughlin Quality Foods has a lot in common with Musgrave and, "we look forward to working with Charlie and all of the team as we build on the success of the business and work together to support our customers."
Meanwhile, Charlie O’Loughlin, Managing Director and Jack O’ Grady Sales Director of C.J. O’Loughlin Quality Foods expressed their delight at the deal, adding that their team would “continue to deliver the very best in customer service”, and that the acquisition would allow them to offer a wider range of products to their customers.
The acquisition is subject to clearance by the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
