Castlemartyr Resort Appoints Paul Mitchell As Hotel And Residences Manager

Castlemartyr Resort has announced the appointment of Paul Mitchell as hotel and residences manager.

The luxury five-Star Castlemartyr Resort in Cork is situated on 220 acres and is home to the 17th century country manor house that sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800-year-old-castle.

Mitchell will be in charge with of enhancing guest and resident experiences, with a focus on personalised service and operational excellence.

“We are delighted to welcome Paul to the resort," said Brendan Comerford, Castlemartyr resort general manager. "The team and our guests will benefit greatly from having somebody on hand with his wealth of industry knowledge and experience.”

Mitchell has 30 years of domestic and international experience within the hospitality industry. He began his career with the Stakis Hotel Group, which became part of the Hilton Hotel Group, and is a graduate of the Hilton Management Programme. Mitchell worked throughout the UK and assisted in the opening of Hilton Dublin.

After a decade with the group, he moved into the luxury hospitality sphere where he worked as operations food and beverage manager for the Cliff House Hotel in Waterford, with a Michelin star restaurant in its dining portfolio. As group commercial food and beverage manager for the iNUA Collection in Ireland, he successfully delivered the development, launch and operations of four new food and beverage concepts within a twelve-month time frame.
